L.A. Dance was started by Lora Wood in July 2005 at the Vistancia Community Center in the Far Northwest Valley. Classes were held in the gymnasium. No professional Ballet Barres, no Wood Floors, and No Mirrors. Even though the Community Center was not a "true" studio, Lora continued to teach every student as if they were at a real studio setting. Within a few short months Lora was able to create a dance studio that has won multiple awards and continues to grow.
Lora began dancing at the very young age of two. Lora danced at multiple studios here in the Valley. Throughout Lora's dance career, she attended multiple competitions and conventions winning numerous awards and scholarships. After receiving a scholarship for both Dance and Academics, Lora attended ASU were she pressured her dance education. Lora has also choreographed half time routines for the Arizona Rattlers. She was also part of the National Dancers Alliance that travel across the U.S. performing and teaching.
