Fall Session: The Fall 2013 session begins September 3rd and continues through June 21st, and all classes have the opportunity to participate in our annual recital in June. Tuition is due between the 1st and 7th of each month and costume payments are due on December 15th, 2013.

Class Types Offered:
PreCombo/Combo 1- Ages 2˝-4: A magical introduction to dance for your child. The basic elements of dance are introduced in a positive and loving way using props such as scarves. A fun-filled 45 minute class that engages the child in age appropriate activities while teaching ballet, tap and the excitement of the world of dance. Pre-Combo and Combo 1 are a wonderful way for a child who loves music and movement to develop a positive attitude toward learning and the classroom.
Combo 2- Ages 4-5: An age
specific, 45 minute class.
Fifteen minutes each of ballet, tap,
and tumbling, give the children a
fantastic base and exposure to different types of dance. We have found that
this “combination” technique helps to keep the kids excited, interested, and
focused for the entire 45 minute
Tap/Ballet- Ages 5-7: Dancers will learn basic steps and terminology in both styles of Tap and Ballet. For example, all dancers will learn what a “plie” is and how to demonstrate one. The use of fun, age appropriate music engages the young dancers’ minds and bodies. The use of props such as maracas for the “freeze dance” makes the end of class the most fun!
Ballet- Ages 6-18: Ballet is the core of all dance. Classes include an introduction to basic ballet techniques through beginning barre and center work. L.A. Dance offers foundation classes emphasizing proper posture, coordination, music awareness, and basic ballet movements. Dancers must wear a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and their hair in a bun.
Jazz- Ages 6-18: Jazz combines many styles and techniques from contemporary dance to ballet. The first half of class consists of exercises to stretch and tone muscles and develop support for proper stress-free alignment of the skeletal structure. Using jazz and pop music, jazz classes are a great work-out and a fun way to release tension while attaining a body awareness that can be applied to everyday activities.
Tap- Ages 8-18: Tap is an exciting rhythmic exercise and dance form which is enjoyable to both kids and adults. Rooted in African-American History, tap offers a variety of styles and techniques. The classes stress the basics of tap and build into combinations which are great to watch and delightful to hear. Try tap for fun and fitness.
Hip Hop- Ages 6-18 Hip Hop refers to dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles notably breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States. In this 60 minute fun filled class, dancers will learn the basic skills of hip hop dance.
Hip Hop/Jazz Funk- Ages 5-10: a fun combination of the popular street hip hop style and jazz technique. In this 60 minute class you dancer will learn basic jazz and hip hop terminology and skills. This is a high impact class that is great for all dancers alike.
Contemporary- Ages 12-18: Contemporary dance emerged in the 1950s as the dance form that is combining the modern dance elements and the classical ballet elements. This style is most commonly seen on today's hit TV series So You Think You Can Dance. Students will learn the basic skills and terminology of modern and ballet dance to help develop a core technique that allows them to express themselves while dancing and in life. At least one year of jazz or ballet is highly recommended for this class.
